Africa's Children's Fund



            Africa's Children's Fund (ACF), a nonprofit 501 C-3 organization headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, was founded in 1993 to assist children and families in need in the United States of America, Africa, and the Caribbean to improve the quality of their lives and civic contribution. Since its inception, ACF has assisted over 220,000 children in 17 countries.

            In the United States of America, ACF conducts affordable housing, tutoring, mentoring, counseling, HIV/AIDS prevention education, and leadership training programs to benefit homeless and low income children and their families. In the Caribbean and African countries, ACF donates books and other educational supplies for library projects, provides assistance to orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), and conducts HIV/AIDS intervention activities.

            ACF's initiatives and programs include the following:
  • Education Program - provides scholarships, mentoring, tutoring, books, desks, and leadership training to children and youth in Metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia, Africa, and the Caribbean.
  • Housing Program - provides Rapid Re-housing, rent and utility assistance, case management, and supportive services to homeless and low income families with children in Metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Food and Nutrition Program – provides grants to orphanages in Africa for feeding and clean water programs.
  • Health & Emergency Relief Program - provides healthcare and relief assistance to children and their families suffering from diseases and disaster.
  • Advocacy Program – Supports advocacy activities to ensure the right and well-being of children.
