Impacts
At the Tapestry community food garden, that supplies produce to local food pantries, I weeded okra plants.
I enjoyed the music, games, and food.
At Freedom Park, we cut and uprooted the invasive species honeysuckle, Chinese privet, and laurel. After, native species will be planted in their place to increase the biodiversity of the park and prevent habitat fragmentation. It was a very fulfilling job, and with my interest in the effects of climate and how that impacts our community, it provided important insight on the ways a global issue can be seen on small scale situations.
